Job Title: SEND Support Assistant
Salary/Rate: £92-£100 per day
Location: Newcastle
Do you have experience working with pupils with SEMH/SEND within a Primary School or similar setting?
Are you looking for a role that is rewarding and challenging at the same time?
We are working with a large Primary School in the Newcastle area who have an immediate requirement for a SEND Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis. You will be required to support pupils with barriers to learning across the classroom and support the class teacher with managing classroom behaviour.
Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils with barriers to learning across the classroom.
2. Assist the class teacher with managing classroom behaviour.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker.
2. Have previous experience working with pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
3. Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
4. Provide two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
5. Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
