Job description
Our client, a leading ship repair and engineering company in the Marine industry, is currently looking for skilled Platers to join their busy team.
You will be responsible for fabricating and assembling various marine structures.
Key responsibilities:
1. Fabricate and assemble marine structures according to technical drawings and specifications
2. Ensure high-quality standards by conducting regular quality checks during the fabrication process
3. Operate and maintain various hand tools, welding equipment, and cutting machinery
4. Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines
5. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Job Requirements:
6. Experience in plating and fabrication in a marine environment
7. NVQ Level 3/Apprenticeship qualified
8. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
10. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
11. Must be eligible for Security Clearance
