About Us:
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across the Knowsley area. Our schools support students who face significant challenges, often stemming from traumatic experiences. These students display complex and challenging behaviors, requiring a calm, patient, and consistent approach to help them engage with their education and thrive.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning. This role requires strong behavior management skills, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students who may exhibit resistance to authority and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
* Manage classroom behavior effectively, using de-escalation strategies when needed.
* Build trust and rapport with students, fostering a positive and safe learning environment.
* Provide encouragement and support to students who may struggle to engage due to trauma-related challenges.
* Work closely with school staff to maintain continuity in student learning and behavior management strategies.
* Act as a positive role model, promoting resilience and perseverance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
