About the Role:
As a Youth Worker in this role, you’ll assist teachers in the classroom, supporting students with their learning and providing targeted help to those with additional needs. Your involvement will help create an inclusive, engaging learning experience for students across Years 7 to 11, allowing you to develop your skills and knowledge in education and learning support.
Responsibilities:
* Providing general classroom support to ensure students are engaged and on-task.
* Offering one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs.
* Assisting with tailored learning activities to support students’ academic and personal growth.
* Promoting positive behavior and helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
* Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to adapt resources and support plans.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in youth work or a strong desire to work with young people.
* Interest in pursuing a career as a Learning Support Assistant or within education.
* Great communication skills and an empathetic approach.
* Adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting students’ individual needs.
* Prior experience working with young people with additional needs is advantageous but not essential.
