The Organisation
We're exclusively supporting the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) with the appointment of a newly created Chief Operating Officer position in their senior leadership team.
This influential trade federation and membership body has thousands of companies making up their group across the UK. Setting the standard for technical expertise, their training is industry leading, and their advocacy work influences government decision making and legislation to protect homes and the planet for years to come.
Having provided expertise and support to their members for almost 50 years, the GGF continue to grow and evolve, with a range of business groups, spanning commercial activities, memberships, qualifications and government regulation. With this growth and modernisation in mind, the GGF are now seeking a COO to join their executive leadership team and drive the strategic vision, operational effectiveness and revenue growth.
The Role
As a key member of the Senior Executive team, the COO will oversee ongoing operations and procedures, promoting efficiency and innovation across the group. This role will have oversight of 4 key areas within the Federation, including the membership arm, an industry regulator and Central Services, comprising of IT, Sales and Marketing. This role is pivotal in driving group-wide initiatives that contribute to their growth plans, leading change and strategic expansion.
The key areas of responsibility include:
* Overseeing the company's operations and procedures, ensuring excellence.
* Driving revenue growth and diversification.
* Building effective working relationships across operational and executive teams.
* Supporting the delivery of the group strategy to position the organisation for success.
* Acting as a catalyst for technology-driven growth.
* Deputising for the CEO as required.
* Managing budgets and resources to ensure return on investment.
* Implementing performance metrics to improve organisational performance.
* Identifying new business opportunities.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You
The Successful Candidate will ideally have:
* Experience in a Chief Operating Officer or Director of Operations role.
* Ability to execute strategic vision and drive operational effectiveness.
* Evidence of driving customer engagement and increasing revenue.
* Effective decision-making skills and ability to motivate a diverse team.
* Professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
* Knowledge of Membership Bodies or Trade Federations would be beneficial
