Sales Engineer required for a well-established industrial automation company which distributes, designs, and manufactures equipment for production lines, mainly in the food and pharmaceutical sector.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, main responsibilities will be to serve as the primary contact for inbound enquiries, delivering personalised customer service, technical support, and sales solutions tailored to each customer's unique needs.
Please note this role requires 5 days a week on site in Whitchurch, Hampshire.
This may well suit someone from an engineering background wanting to engage with customers in an office-based role.
Examples of Responsibilities:
1. Respond to customer inquiries via email/telephone and help design/select a solution based on customer-provided information.
2. Host live demonstrations.
3. Generate quotations and reports for customers as needed.
4. Actively help with marketing and exhibitions as required.
Skills/Experience required:
1. Excellent spoken English with a polite telephone manner.
2. Experience working in the mechanical engineering/manufacturing field.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
4. Experience in technical engineering sales is advantageous.
