Health and Safety / Regulatory Solicitor – Manchester – up to £50,000 + Excellent Benefits Package – Generous Bonus Scheme
The Role
Superb opportunity to join an award-winning global top tier Legal 500 law firm that has a longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice to their deep-rooted clients.
The firm is recognised across the globe for its outstanding client care and high-quality lawyers.
Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s Regulatory Team, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced solicitor to work alongside its existing Regulatory Team.
The role will involve primarily contentious and non-contentious advice and support to clients in the context of health and safety (including fire safety, building safety and Coroner’s inquests) and other aspects of regulatory law such as food safety/hygiene, product safety and aspects of trading law.
The successful candidate will also be part of the team acting for a core participant in the Covid-19 Public Inquiry.
The ideal candidate will ideally have gained relevant experience in a City firm or large regional practice and should have good expertise in the type of criminal regulatory work i.e health and safety etc.
The firm is based in Manchester and the location is commutable from Huddersfield, Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Macclesfield, Warrington etc.
The Candidate
* A qualified solicitor with NQ - 2PQE
* Ideally have gained relevant experience in a city or large regional practice
* Good expertise in the type of criminal regulatory defence work
* Strong academic background
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development is important
* Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
* Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
* High standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
* The ability to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logically is key together with proficient IT skills
