Role
purpose:
Providing support within the Business Partnering and Recruitment functions dealing with routine queries, front of house support and undertaking administrative duties within the service area.
You will work to support colleagues in delivering operational activities and enhancing and improving the self-service options for the user.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for providing first line support to managers and staff directing them to the appropriate suite of resources available for their query.
2. Researching information to resolve a query
3. Logging all queries that are received and managing the HR and OD helpdesk.
4. Triaging queries, referring them to colleagues as appropriate.
5. Monitoring and responding to queries in the inbox or received via telephone, recording these as required.
6. Undertaking first line DBS checks
7. Drafting contracts and offer documentation as directed.
8. Arranging interviews and undertaking administrative tasks to support recruitment activities.
9. To provide support to the People Service apprentices.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
10. Knowledge of local government/and or public sector
11. Good understanding of HR and recruitment practices and processes
12. Excellent IT skills, ability to use a range of systems.
13. Experience of providing a customer focused service
14. Experience of minute taking.
15. Previous experience within recruitment and or HR (desirable)
