Aquent is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Brand & Campaign Manager (Senior Design Manager) to join the global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider, operating some of the world’s most innovative, diverse and distinctive brands.
They need a Senior Manager to be a key leader in a new look Creative & Content team. Their focus will be on ensuring that our brand identity & positioning continues to be one their strongest assets, whilst having the opportunity to drive forward the creative agenda on their design and campaigns moving forward.
With the movement of design function into creative and content, this role will be the most senior design specialist within our brand & creative org, but crucially we are looking for this role to not just focus on design but the holistic creative idea, ensuring that our creative feels joined up across tone, look & feel and execution.
Overall Responsibilities:
1. Lead the origination of new design output across channels, markets & verticals
2. Line manage a team of designers, helping them produce best in class design outcomes
3. Creatively lead campaign projects as appropriate, managing a multi-disciplined team
4. Work closely with the Head of Studio and senior studio manager to proactively update and develop always on toolkits of social, digital acquisition & CRM
5. Work with the Head of Creative on an integrated design approach to live events marketing
6. Plug in as necessary to the product design team, to ensure brand is considered in UX & UI output
7. Champion an insight driven approach to creative development with performance data and customer insight key inputs
8. Get stuck in with design and ideation when needed, deploying your practical skills as a design and creative operator
9. Be a crucial voice to the business in challenging when bespoke design work is needed (with impact at the forefront)
10. Be a mentor and guide for our talented team members across teams .
11. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders.
12. Analyse briefs and offer feedback to elevate our creative output.
Requirements
13. Design experience.
14. Proven track record of developing high quality original design work utilising a variety of graphical and stylistic approaches
15. Experience and a knack for creative problem-solving beyond design
16. Mastery of Adobe CS software, with a focus on Photoshop – we are looking for an operator and a manager
17. Creative leadership skills – being proactive in identifying where we can improve but focussed on the things that will drive impact
18. An impressive portfolio showcasing your deep understanding and experience in creative design
19. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a an ability to self start and set own priorities
20. Excellent typographic skills
21. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, coupled with an adaptable and positive attitude.
Nice to have’s
22. Experience in the betting and gaming industry.
23. Familiarity with multiple creative disciplines (animation, 3D, illustration, type, video) – while we have specialist teams in these areas, your creative insights will be invaluable for collaborative projects.
24. Past experience in guiding or managing junior designers and freelancers, refining designs, and conducting reviews.
