This is a hybrid-remote role. Applicants must live within commuting distance to Burton-on-Trent, to commute to the office Monday-Wednesday.

Our award-winning business continues on a strong path of growth and we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager, ideally with experience in the travel industry.
You will be responsible for managing Solmar Villas Key Accounts to manage relationships and ensure maximum distribution across our wholesale partners. As the central point of contact at Solmar you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships; You will develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and maximise revenue from key accounts, as well as identifying new distribution channels
Managing relationships with our key account tour operators, including setting up and attending regular meetings to nurture those relationships; tracking performance, and identifying areas for business growth.
Leading on key accounts trading reviews; identifying actions required to take advantage of opportunities, or reducing risk associated with the increase in volume, margin or revenue.
Providing regular forecasts and updates on performance and sales analysis.
Working with other departments to ensure good communication between out key accounts and Solmar service and delivery teams.
Attending relevant trade shows as required to develop business opportunities.
Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with experience of presenting to, and influencing a wide variety of audiences at a senior level, with examples of commercial and contractual negotiations.
Confident and competent at networking and nurturing important relationships, both face to face; by phone, and digitally.
A positive attitude to additional tasks in line with business needs.
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
Sales driven, account management – the ability to develop strong B2B commercial relationships.
Computer literate and comfortable using technology such as Salesforce CRM systems and MS Office suite.
A UK driving licence.
The ability to travel regularly within the UK, and on occasion, within Europe.
