About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate female domiciliary care workers to join our client’s team in Glasgow. In this role, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their homes. Candidates must hold a valid driving license and have access to a car.
Main Duties
1. Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support with toileting needs and continence management.
3. Administer prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
4. Report any changes in health to a supervisor or healthcare professional.
5. Help clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment.
6. Accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
7. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
8. Ensure the home environment is safe and comfortable.
9. Provide companionship and engage in conversation to alleviate loneliness.
10. Support clients’ mental and emotional well-being through active listening and encouragement.
11. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition.
12. Complete daily logs and report to the supervisor as required.
13. Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
14. Attend regular training sessions and stay updated with best practices in care.
Qualifications
1. Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
2. Must have experience in domiciliary care within UK.
3. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
7. 3-year Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
