The Procurement Manager Indirect will be responsible for developing the business to achieve best practice and add value. You will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies and sourcing initiatives across all categories with Indirect functions with a group spend in excess of £1B.
Role Responsbilities - Procurement Manager Indirect
• Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance
• Building and maintaining collaborative cross-functional relationships between the Procurement team and its internal customers, that provide for appropriate levels of service and support being maintained
• Developing and presenting market-competitive category management strategies
• Developing and implementing an effective supplier relationship management program to drive improvements in supplier performances
• Expert in contract negotiations, pricing analysis and markets forecasting
• Create, review and challenge processes within the department to ensure it is value-added
•Supplier capacity reviews to support any new or on-going business requirements
•Responsible for the management of Purchasing activities for the development of Procurement’s core processes, standard operating procedures and category management strategies to ensure that cost-effective and robust contracts are sourced, negotiated, awarded and maintained with strategic partners
•Responsible for maintaining and accountability of KPI’s, while working with internal stakeholders to drive improvement and cost-effective solutions
•Identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities
•You will manage the end-to-end capex-related procurement activities including sourcing execution, negotiation, contract management and supplier management
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage expenditures to ensure projects are completed on time
•Building long-term business relationships and partnering with suppliers
•Performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories

•Self-confident - able to rely on their own judgement
•Demonstrable experience leading a purchasing function
•Excellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal
•Demonstrated skills of negotiation and influencing at all stakeholder levels
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
•Outstanding commercial input with the ability to take and execute market opportunities
•Ability to prepare and present complex information to C-Suite Level Executives while generating a strategic plan that integrates numerous business issues
•Strong analytical and numeracy skills, combined with advanced Excel and IT skills
•Results Driven
•Technical Skills – Purchasing, Contract Law, Lean
