About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the integrated joint venture team on the DDP Lot 3 Framework at Sellafield – i3 Decommissioning Partners
The main goal of this framework is to assist in the decommissioning of the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
The role will involve;
1. Production, review and endorse as appropriate Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans; undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate
2. Ensure the quality standards of the TDA Project are consistently met, raising the authorised project documentation where this is not the case
3. Maintenance of package status & progress reporting, raising issues and liaising with the project and client QA/QC team.
4. Support Internal and External Audits - track actions arising, so that systems can be improved and so that non-compliances are reduced
5. Initiate Quality Grade Risk Assessment Meetings

6. ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
7. Professional Body Membership CQI or working towards
8. Good understanding of the Quality Assurance and Control requirements in major projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning
9. Ability to work autonomously and support the Quality Delivery Manager and Project Manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team
