Grain Accounting Specialist – Lincoln, NE

This is a full time, non exempt position
MAIN FUNCTION: this individual will report to the Office Supervisor, this position is part of the commercial merchandising team at the location. The Grain Accounting Specialist will be proficient in multiple systems within the major areas of the Clerical function, Grain Settlements, Meal Transactions, and Plant Operations. Clerical duties and tasks are standardized. The Grain Accounting Specialist will also perform routine clerical functions, including filing, answering phones, distributing materials, record retention. Cross training in other functions.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
9. Generate and maintain Vendor Accounts
10. Verify Lien Holders
11. Process Corn & Soybean Settlements ( truck and rail )
12. Address and resolve vendor issues in a timely manner
13. General Clerical Functions
14. Document scanning and/or filing
15. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
16. 2+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
17. High School diploma or GED
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
19. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
20. A confident and courteous manner.
21. Strong attention to detail and organization skills
22. Ability to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend, and communicate, orally and in writing
23. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use, standing, bending, and kneeling.
24. In office work hours 7:30 :30 Some overtime may be needed.
