About the Role:
As a Teacher of Computer Science, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality computer science education and inspiring students to develop a love for technology and coding. Key Responsibilities of Computer Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged.
Teach a range of subjects to students aged 11-16.
Organise and supervise extracurricular computer science activities and events, fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
Promote health and safety in all activities, ensuring students understand the importance of safe practices.
Requirements of Computer Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience in teaching computer science is essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in computer science.
Commitment to promoting a love for technology and a curiosity about the world of coding.
Relevant qualifications or training in computer science education (desirable but not essential).
