Payroll Administrator - Local Authority
Location: Shire Hall, GL1 2TG
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ months
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £14.17 per hour + holiday pay
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a Local Authority in Gloucestershire on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is perfect for someone with substantial experience in handling end-to-end payroll processes within a large organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process payroll payments accurately and on time to meet monthly deadlines.
2. Address payroll queries, including tax and pay issues, and provide expert advice on employment terms.
3. Maintain a high level of compliance with payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
4. Deliver cost-effective, timely services to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
Skills and Experience:
1. Must have extensive end-to-end payroll experience, preferably within a large employer setting.
2. A good understanding of payroll processes, with the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and statutory requirements.
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills to respond efficiently to queries regarding tax, payroll, and employment terms.
4. An eye for detail, able to verify information to guarantee the accuracy of payrolls.
5. The ability to thrive under pressure, juggling multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines.
