Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Wolverhampton as a Customer Quality Engineer. The role is a permanent role for the right candidate.
Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday - 8:30am - 4pm
Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm
Pay
Between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum dependent on experience
Description and key responsibilities as a Customer Quality Engineer:
Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001)
Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system and providing feedback.
Data collection activities to define issues and drive improvements.
Lead quality-related issues with for internal, supplier and customer concerns.
Ability to lead customer facing activities, in particular concern reviews and responses.
Lead problem solving activities using a methodical process.
Stop production in the event of unacceptable products or processes.
Support with scrap and RFT initiatives and identify ways to drive improvements and reduce costs, identify best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and that also provide for continuous improvements to meet or exceed all customer expectations.
Conduct first off / last off sample approvals and have a working knowledge of the application of SPC and MSA principles.
