About the role
Join our dedicated team within the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture as a Higher Scientific Officer (Head of Chemistry) on the beautiful Isle of Man.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the chemistry section, delivering high-quality, timely results that uphold the safety and well-being of our community.
Your work will be instrumental in safeguarding the islands food and water supplies and protecting the environment. From drinking and river water to food, soil, and effluents, the samples you’ll analyse play a crucial role in monitoring public health and environmental standards.
You’ll also drive innovation by developing new methodologies, support team members' professional growth by providing training on specialised techniques and ensure the calibration and quality systems are functioning to the highest standards.
