About the Role:
* You will work as part of the Employment Futures Team to provide initial assessment and eligibility checks for potential jobseekers; provide individuals with appropriate guidance on local services and forums for support; promote inclusive employment and disability confident practice with employers at all times and inspire and raise employment aspirations of jobseekers.
* You will need to work under your own initiative and be able to organise your time effectively between generating and assessing suitable referrals and help to address barriers faced by jobseekers.
* You will provide face-to-face advice and guidance for jobseekers, signposting them to specialist support services when suitable.
* You will need to be good with money as you will be required to maintain petty cash records for approved expenses such as bus fares, and submit accurate receipts and records on a monthly basis.
This particular job role is funded by UKSPF which is managed by North Tyneside Council. You will be required to work in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.
This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. As such it will be necessary for an enhanced Disclosure submission to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
