Job Description
37.5 Hours per week. Tuesday - Saturday. 12.00pm - 8.00pm.
To complete, to the required quality standards, the preparation of samples for a given method and to assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
Full training for this role is provided, no previous experience necessary.
1. Preparation and analysis of water samples utilising good laboratory practice.
2. Ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures, including attention to temperature control, storage and maintenance of sample integrity.
3. Preparing and dispensing consumables
4. Undergo training and follow Safe Systems of Work
5. Maintenance of accurate records as detailed in the quality procedures.
6. Perform calibrations, daily checks and other quality related tasks as required.
7. Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
8. Report any anomalies or concerns to direct report.
9. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
10. Keep the working environment clean and tidy.
11. Maintenance of laboratory fittings and equipment as directed.
Qualifications
12. GCSE educated in Maths, English, Science or above or equivalent.
13. Experience in a fast paced working environment
14. Awareness of good laboratory practices
15. Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook
