The hours of work and shift patterns are: Tuesday - Saturday 6am -4pm
The rates of pay are: £13.23
Main Responsibilities:
* Being able to undertake physical tasks.
* A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fast paced production environment with sometimes conflicting needs & wants
* Responsible for the day-to-day line operations ensuring that daily targets are achieved with optimum use of resources and labour.
* Maximising line efficiencies meeting that required quality standards, integrity of food safety and H&S of the Team.
* The successful candidate will be proactive team player, skilled in all aspects of Line Supervision.
* You will have a solid understanding of Operations process and knowledge of the Customers, Quality and related matters writing poultry environment.
* To effectively and efficiently, manage resources to ensure the best use of people, plant and materials and meet output, product quality and customer service targets.
* Ensure that all Amber Foods customer and legal requirements are followed at all times e.g. food safety, product quality, H&S policies and procedures. Work as a Team to support each area key deliverables.
* Achieve planned production throughput.
* Ensure all labels are printed accurately and issued in a timely manner in line with company procedure.
* Monitor and accurately complete all relevant documentation as required e.g. staff sheets, materials usage, customer orders, efficiency sheets.
* Communicate, liaise & escalate issues where necessary
* Review, develop and manage your team in order to ensure that they maintain acceptable levels/standards of performance, attendance and conduct.
* To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any un-safe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy.
* Monitor the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with fellow team leaders and other departments as necessary to alleviate problem areas & resolve problems.
* Ensure that all employees within your team are aware of their roles/accountabilities, ensure that training is provided to meet these and that all 2SFG policies and procedures are complied with.
* Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes.
* At all times act in the best interests of 2SFG, its employees, its brands, 2SFG customers and the final consumers of the products manufactured by 2SFG. Participate in developing and embedding a quality focused culture of behavioural food safety to enable continuous improvement to standards.
* Undertake other tasks relating to the effective operation and continual improvement of Operational activities and that may be required from time to time or as a permanent addition to accountabilities and responsibilities
Ideal Candidate:
* Ability to communicate confidently in English at all levels
* Solid level of numeracy
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
* Ability to clearly communicate and build a strong and effective team.
* Self-motivated and highly resilient.
* Must be a confident decision maker and have the ability to challenge the status quo
* Ensures total legal compliance in all areas of H&S, Technical and people as well as living the organisations values and competencies.
* Food Safety Level 3
* HACCP Level 3
* IOSH Managing Safety
* 2SFG BUILD – Team Leader Development programme or willing to work towards
* 2SFG FREDI – or equivalent learnings related to fairness, respect, equality, diversity and inclusion, or willing to work towards
