Skills required for the role of an electrical controls engineer:
* PLC knowledge, fault finding and programming
* SCADA
* Hazardous areas COMPEX 1-4 qualification
* Programming languages such as: Ladder logic, C+, and structured text
* Vision controls systems experience
* HNC / HND from a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Process improvement and root cause analysis
* Previous experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
As a part of this role your daily duties, you will be:
* Reporting downtimes and maintenance on the CMMS system
* Identify system / PLC faults and identifying the root cause
* Carrying out work orders and planned maintenance
* Creating new PLC programs and software updates when required
* Redesign and modify plant equipment to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
* Ensure that software backups are created and maintained to protect plant machinery
Hours:
* 38 per week
* Monday – Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
