Pay rate: £18.22 per hour PAYE or £23.42 per hour via approved Umbrella

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking a dynamic HR People Advisor to join their team. Role Overview:
As an HR People Advisor, you will be instrumental in supporting employees and managers on all people-related operational matters, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. You will be responsible for providing professional advice, leading project work, and driving improvements in processes. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to enhance people management capabilities and contribute to the success of the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
* Provide expert advice on people processes, employment law, and best practices.
* Lead and contribute to project work, researching, benchmarking, and managing stakeholders.
* Develop and improve HR policies in alignment with business requirements.
* Coach and mentor managers to enhance people management capabilities.
* Lead on employee relations issues, ensuring swift and effective case management.
* Collaborate with the Payroll and Project Manager to address pay-related ER situations.
* Represent the People Department in interviews and selection processes.
* Develop and deliver training sessions on people management topics.
* Lead process improvements, collaborating with line managers to ensure appropriate actions.
* Use management information to identify trends/issues and share insights with relevant stakeholders.
* Advise hiring managers on job descriptions and job evaluation processes.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Significant HR experience and/or CIPD Level 5.
* Proven employee relations experience in disciplinary/grievance/ill health absence cases.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
* Competent in Excel and reporting from management systems.
* Discretion in handling personal information.
* Experience with HR IT systems, including recruitment tracking and enterprise resource planning.
* Significant interview experience and job evaluation understanding.
* Ability to lead effective coaching conversations.
