We offer proactive operational and strategic HR advice to hundreds of schools and deliver a high-quality payroll and pensions service that pays the salaries of 25,000 school-based staff each month. We are specialists in the education sector, and are passionate about education, payroll and HR.
What's the Role About?
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Payroll and Pension Services Manager to lead our brilliant payroll and pension teams! You'll be maximising opportunities to enhance the profitability and customer experience of our payroll services, actively contributing to the development of a high performing team, using the iTrent platform, and in doing so playing a key role in achieving Neo's business objectives. Day-to-day, you'll...
* People manage and support the Payroll and Pension Team, allocating monthly payrolls and ensuring coverage during absences.
* Support your team to maintain high client satisfaction, handle escalations within SLA timeframes, and develop Customer Care plans.
* Collaborate across teams for consistent processes, maintain effective client communication, and conduct monthly client courtesy calls.
* Work with various teams to review, test, and authorise system amendments, ensuring system developments align with Neo's business strategy.
* Instil a data-driven culture, keeping abreast of key performance metrics, and leading on reporting to key clients.
* Ensure your team members' knowledge of relevant Payroll and Pension legislation is up-to-date, supporting and mentoring them to reach their potential.
* Collaborate on projects to ensure smooth department operations, allocate project work, and propose continuous improvement suggestions.
What Can You Bring to the Role?
If you can demonstrate the following, we'd love to hear from you:
* Proven experience in payroll and pension management within a Bureau environment.
* Prior experience of managing a service delivery team, ideally within payroll or pensions.
* Excellent people management skills, and the ability to lead and inspire.
* A strong understanding of current payroll legislation and compliance.
* Exceptional communication and a customer service mindset.
* Proficiency in payroll systems, ideally iTrent or similar.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
