Ashton Recruitment require a Regeneration Development Surveyor for our client based in Belfast.
Position: Regeneration Development Surveyor
Location: Belfast City Centre
Duration: Temporary
Rate of Pay: £26.18 per hour
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Reporting to the Development Manager (City Regeneration and Development), the post will be responsible for providing specialist strategic regeneration input to enable the development and delivery of regeneration and city development initiatives that contribute to the delivery of Belfast's strategic objectives.
* Provide a strategic approach to the use and regeneration of the Council's land and property estate and undertake strategic site assessments for Council assets and, in partnership with other stakeholders, to lead on the delivery of public /private regeneration projects that involve also other public and private lands.
* Working alongside other public sector bodies to bring forward city wide development opportunities that maximise the use of public sector assets together with relevant private sector interests and deliver on corporate objectives that delivers placemaking regeneration.
* Identify opportunities for and lead on developing specific regeneration plans and proposals, land assembly and development projects that will deliver on strategic regeneration opportunities and build relationships and partnerships that enable development and regeneration to come forward.
* Provide specialist support and lead on development agreements, land transactions and delivery of complex development projects
* Explore mechanisms to establish partnerships for the delivery of and investment in regeneration and development projects, including housing led regeneration, throughout the City.
* Provide advice and guidance to senior management on the property market, development, regeneration, planning and other related issues in order to identify and deliver strategic regeneration opportunities
* Play a key role in developing Belfast as a leading city for investment and development and driving regeneration delivery to significantly improve local residents' quality of life and ensure inclusive growth across the city.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of applications,
1) have current corporate membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as either Chartered Development Surveyor, Chartered Valuation Surveyor, Chartered Commercial Property Surveyor or equivalent membership;
2) have a third level qualification in a relevant subject such as Estates Management, Property Investment and Development, Urban Regeneration, Planning or an equivalent relevant qualification; and
3) be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, at least two years' relevant post chartered qualification experience in the following areas:
a. strategic property management and advice across a diverse property portfolio development; and
b. property development and regeneration across a diverse property portfolio.
