Your new company
A well-established company based in the heart of Sheffield is in need of a UK specialist Payroll Assistant to join the business on a 9-month fixed term contract due to maternity leave.
Your new role
You will be responsible for handling monthly payroll and RTI submissions, including statutory payments. You will have to effectively communicate with the senior finance team, HR, and staff members to address any queries relating to discrepancies or changes. Ensure timely processes of weekly and monthly pay runs, ensuring all data is accurately posted to the correct journals and reconcile control accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Experience in a similar payroll position.
2. Knowledge of payroll and finance systems.
3. High accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Strong organisational and IT skills, especially in Excel.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Proactive, solution-oriented, and a strong team player.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
What you'll get in return
Hybrid working is available once a candidate has passed probation. Full-time hours over 5 days. £13+ per hour.
