Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure all equipment operates efficiently, minimising downtime and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Duties
1. Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, mechanical components, and logic controllers.
3. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational procedures.
4. Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance on best practices.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
6. Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts for machinery.
7. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from other departments.
8. Collaborate with other teams to implement improvements in processes and equipment reliability.
Experience
1. To carry out PPM's as per the maintenance system at site.
2. Maintain facilities both internal and external to the factory.
3. To cover production breakdowns and ensure all jobs are carried out in a timely fashion whilst always adhering to health and safety.
4. Responsible for engineering housekeeping in both the workshop and stores areas of the department.
5. Conduct Continuous Improvement projects throughout to promote development and improve production efficiencies.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30am-3pm
Salary
£40,000 going up to £45,000 after 3 months probationary period.
