Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Health and Social Care Teacher to deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the health and social care sector, fostering a love for learning and promoting an understanding of key concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Health and Social Care to KS3 and KS4 students.
2. Develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
5. Stay current with curriculum developments and educational practices in health and social care.
6. Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student well-being and academic success.
7. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is essential.
2. A degree in Health and Social Care, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
3. Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS3 and KS4 is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering student success.
