Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for resilient and passionate Teaching Assistants to join a full-time role supporting an SEND school in Ossett. In this position, you will be based in the classroom, working closely with children who have a variety of additional needs, such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and behavioral challenges, among others. This role requires a dedicated individual who can offer both academic and emotional support, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with students with additional needs in a school setting, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and commitment to student development.
Main Duties:
* To be responsible for the safety of children by exercising adequate support and supervision
* Support the Class Teacher with resources and general classroom activities
* Record pupil progress and behaviour
* Personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)
* Enhance the social, emotional and mental health of children
Requirements:
* Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
* Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
o We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
* Minimum of three months UK residency
* Have an overseas criminal clearance (if applicable) or willing to apply for one
* Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
* Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
