Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Cost Engineer is responsible for managing the commercial and cost aspects of projects from inception to closeout. This role focuses on controlling costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, and maintaining cost control standards. The Senior Cost Engineer will support and coordinate projects within TEXO Engineering & Fabrication, using analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while assisting the Divisional and Operations Director. Collaboration with the Engineering and Fabrication team and wider business is essential to ensure compliance with TEXO processes and procedures.

* Develop strong working relationships with the Engineering and Operations Directors
* Collaborate with Finance, Team Leads, Project Managers (PMs), and Project Engineers (PEs)
* Communicate effectively across departments for mutual benefit
* Maintain positive communication with peers and customers
* Train graduates and junior cost controllers as needed

* Assist PMs and PEs in preparing individual Cost Reports, comparing actual costs to budgets
* Prepare and update the overall Live Project Cost Control Summary
