Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Neurological Rehabilitation team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing specialist rehabilitation to individuals with neurological conditions, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role offers flexible working hours, allowing for full-time or part-time commitment, with a competitive hourly pay rate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assessing and treating patients with neurological conditions, utilising a range of therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and independence.
* Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
* Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical professionals.
* Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Providing education and support to patients and their families to ensure ongoing rehabilitation and adaptation.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional and legal standards.
* Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the department.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration
* Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Proven experience in neurological rehabilitation or a related field.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in neurological rehabilitation.
* Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
