Registered Care Home Nurse
Purpose of the Role
As a nurse in this large care home, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to residents. Working as a member of the nursing team, you will deliver all relevant forms of care in collaboration with other nurse practitioners. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being and health of elderly residents or those with various medical conditions. You will also be involved in regular supervision as part of your role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work as part of an efficient team to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Accurately assess the needs of residents and identify care priorities.
Administer medication and treatments within NMC guidelines.
Report any health concerns among residents and request GP/professional visits when necessary.
Ensure residents' care plans are completed, maintained, and reviewed regularly.
Provide health supervision and direct nursing care as needed.
Maintain accurate records and ensure each resident has an individualized care plan.
Deliver high standards of nursing and social care based on care plans and residents' needs.
Conduct regular checks on residents' health, safety, and well-being.
Support new staff members in all aspects of their work, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
Mentor new and less experienced staff members, offering relevant training and coaching.
