Our Client, one of the most sought-after employers in Northern Ireland, is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join their team based in the Greater Belfast area.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is responsible for supporting the Planning & Supply Chain department in achieving business objectives and delivering best-in-class supply chain management, with a focus on providing procurement delivery for the business.
Main Duties & Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for on-time placing of correct orders, supplier performance, making cost-effective purchases, and ensuring inventory is maintained at the required level.
* Accountable for on-time updating and maintaining procurement data and records accurately in the ERP system regarding suppliers, prices, supplier standard lead-time, and order details.
* Responsible for tracking order status, managing supplier delivery priorities, and ensuring timely delivery.
* Follow up with suppliers on any quality, invoice, or price enquiries.
* Responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with external suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
