Job summary
Following a re-structure within Financial Management andsubsequent internal promotions, an exciting opportunity has arisen to supportour Care Groups. Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager this role will supportCare group 2, which is, in the main surgical specialties and associateddepartments.
This post is forward facing and will be integral insupporting specialties meet the Trusts financial sustainability operationalpriorities: Deliver the financial plan for 2024/25 and deliver year 1 of theplan to return the Trust to a break-even position for 2026/27 and Ensuresignificant improvement of at least one quartile across the full range ofsystem productivity metricsWe are looking for positive, forward thinking, pro-active individual whothrives working equally as part of a financial management team, and workingclosely with a range of clinical specialties.
Opportunities to influence financial change whilst keepingthe patient at the centre of decisions will be central to this role.
The post holder will be based on the Trusts main site though some travel to ourother sites may be required.
We offer flexible working with a hybrid of working from home.Interviews are planned for 8th October 2024
Main duties of the job
The new team members main duties will include:
To understand the operational priorities and the partfinance has to play, and to support finance managers strive towards this agenda
To ensure accurate and timely information for forecasts,budget setting and monthly budget reports are produced, whilst maintainingcommunication with the Senior Finance Manager
To evidence strong communication skills to influencefinancial decision making for the care group
To support and develop budget holders to give them theskills and knowledge to deliver their commitments
Alongside the team identify variances to budgets and workwith the specialties to identify mitigations and/or recovery supportinginnovating and sustainable solutions.
