Our client, a renowned electronics manufacturer based in High Wycombe, is seeking a dedicated PCB Assembler to join their growing production team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong skills in assembling and soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs). The successful candidate will ensure that all PCBs meet stringent quality and accuracy standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
PCB Assembly: Assemble and populate printed circuit boards with electronic components, following detailed technical drawings and assembly instructions.
Soldering: Perform precise hand soldering of components onto PCBs, ensuring clean and reliable connections.
Component Installation: Install through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs, using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure accuracy and durability.
Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and testing (e.g., continuity testing) to ensure PCBs meet both industry standards and company quality guidelines.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and rectify assembly errors, including reworking faulty solder joints and replacing damaged components.
Documentation & Compliance: Follow assembly diagrams and technical drawings, while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including the company's 5S policy.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve assembly processes and participate in training to enhance technical skills.
Collaboration: Work closely with other production team members to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and timely delivery of high-quality products.Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting PCB assembly drawings and schematics.
Strong hand soldering skills, including experience with through-hole and surface-mount components.
Experience using tools such as soldering irons, tweezers, and magnifying equipment.
Ability to conduct visual inspections and perform basic electrical tests.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, delicate components.
Effective communication and time management skills.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English.Preferred:
Experience with automated assembly equipment or reflow soldering processes.
Familiarity with PCB testing equipment, such as multimeters or automated test systems.
Basic computer skills for data entry and information retrieval (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
