Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
1. Individualised Support: Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage in their learning and develop key life skills.
2. Tailored Learning Plans: Collaborate with teachers to implement personalised learning strategies that cater to both academic and emotional needs, ensuring students stay on track.
3. Positive Behaviour Management: Use effective behaviour management techniques to encourage positive attitudes and support students in managing their emotions and behaviour.
4. Holistic Development: Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities that promote social, emotional, and academic growth, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
5. Parental and Professional Liaison: Work closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students, fostering strong relationships between home and school.
6. Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of student progress, providing valuable feedback to the teaching team and contributing to tailored student development plans.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working with students who have SEMH needs or in a similar support role.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and empathetic in challenging situations.
9. A genuine passion for supporting the emotional and social well-being of children and young people.
10. The flexibility to adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
11. Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support is a plus but not essential.
