Role: Lecturer -Brickwork
Location: Bedford College, Cauldwell Street

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Brickwork Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford College, Cauldwell Street Campus.
As a Brickwork Lecturer you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses, specifically focussing on Bricklaying to Level 3
2. Undertaking course administration as necessary.
3. Leading and contributing to curriculum developments within the Programme Area/Centre.
4. Carrying out course leadership duties where appropriate.
About you:
Ideal candidates will have:
5. Bricklaying NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
6. Stage 3 teaching qualification (Cert. Ed/ PGCE or equivalent)
7. Willingness to achieve Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent if not already held.
8. English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
9. Successful experience as a teacher in an FE environment, particularly Bricklaying to Level 3
10. Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
11. Experience of working in a Bricklaying role within the Construction industry.
12. Ability to demonstrate evidence of strong teaching skills
13. Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
14. Willingness to travel to and work at all locations where we provide a service
