About the Role
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering exceptional customer service to our valued customers. Your role will involve meeting and interacting with customers in their homes, helping them with their shopping needs, and providing a warm and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering customer shopping trips in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized
* Loading the van as required and checking for roadworthiness
* Talking to customers about changes to their orders and offering refunds when necessary
* Taking care of products and deliveries as if they were your own
* Explaining to customers about substitutions and not charging extra
* Delivering during the customer's time slot and calling them before arrival if early
* Calling the store if running late
Requirements
* A UK/EU/EEA driving license with at least 12 months' experience and no more than 3 penalty points
* Able to adhere to GB Domestic Driving Rules
* Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
* Acting quickly to respond to changing customer needs
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations
* Sharing ideas with managers and colleagues to improve the store experience
