To support us with the successful delivery of new and exciting projects, weare looking for experienced and tenacious Project Engineers with strongProject Leadership skills. Working as part of a small team, you will be anexcellent communicator who is self-motivated and able to work to strictdeadlines.
As Project Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional project teamenvironment to lead and manage the delivery of highly complex bespoke,robot-based, electromechanical systems for use in factory and processautomation. It is crucial that you are inquisitive and curious, with an abilityto identify problems and support with the delivery of solutions.
If you love a challenge, this role is ideal, as no two days will ever be thesame. A “can do” attitude is essential with the ability to positively influenceproject reports. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is alsokey to your success in this role.
Role Requirements
The role of Project Engineer reports directly into the Project Director. Belowis a summary of some of the key requirements of the role:
1. Lead the project team to deliver projects on time, to budget, and to thequality expected;
2. Prepare, maintain and present project materials in accordance with theCompany project management process;
3. Liaise with all members of the Projects Department to continually improve,and provide consistency to their project delivery;
4. Act as an ambassador for the Projects Department, promoting andadvocating for the team whilst carrying out the responsibilities and dutiesof the position;
5. Generate and maintain all project reporting documentation in accordancewith their project management process;
6. Monitor and guide design and technical project milestones anddeliverables to ensure project progress;
7. Liaise with clients to ensure open communication and satisfactionthroughout project delivery;
8. Work closely with internal departments to ensure effective management ofCompany resources and assets;
9. Deputise for Project Director as required.
About you
10. Minimum of three years’ experience in a project management/projectengineering role;
11. Qualification in project management, or equivalent experience;
12. Degree in an engineering related subject;
13. Demonstrable experience of managing people at all levels in a projectenvironment;
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
15. Ability to build strong, effective relationships both internally and externally,
at all levels;
16. Ability to manage a busy and changeable workload;
17. Proficient with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc;
18. Competent in the organisation of project meetings both internally and withhigh level customer representatives;
19. Must be willing to travel on occasion.
