Behaviour Mentor – North Manchester
Overview:
We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a Secondary School in North Manchester to support pupils with SEMH/SEND needs. The role involves effective communication and assisting pupils, including those with autism. This role will be on a long-term basis with the potential to progress into a permanent position with the school!
Duties:
– Educate and support students in the classroom
– Help de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour
– Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
– Work closely with children, including those with autism, to facilitate their progress
– Collaborate with the team to create a nurturing environment for all children
Requirements;
– Experience working with children, in a school or similar setting
– Minimum 2 references to cover your last 2 years of employment
– Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
– Understanding of supporting individuals with autism and additional needs
– Relevant qualifications in childcare or special education would be advantageous
