Field Service Engineer – Central England
Alexander Steele are partnering with a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, our client specialises in the design and manufacturing of innovative, eco-friendly consumer packaging. They partner with some of the most recognisable brands within the FMCG industries.

* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (door-to-door pay)
* Car or Car Allowance: Choose between a company car or a car allowance
* Overtime: Time and a half for weekdays and Saturday mornings, double time for Saturday afternoons and Sundays
* Expenses: A very generous expense policy!
The Role:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for installing and commissioning packaging machinery, working on large-scale projects, and managing key customer accounts while actively promoting innovative packaging solutions. The role offers a varied day to day and week to week, however with long-term projects that can span 3 to 6 months also, ensuring every week brings new challenges and opportunities.
These positions are available due to the company's ongoing growth and success. Next year is set to be the busiest yet, this recruitment drive is the first step of big plans, with the team expected to double in size over the next five years. Your Profile:
We're looking for engineers with a solid experience in both electrical and mechanical systems, ideally within a FMCG environment. A strong understanding of Servo systems is essential, especially in troubleshooting motor and controller components. You’ll need experience working online with PLCs, connecting your laptop to the system to diagnose and resolve issues.
This role is perfect for a proactive, customer-facing engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
