Portico GB Ltd is a leading subcontractor to the new build industry based in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds who supply and install windows, doors, conservatories and sliding wardrobes.
Hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities – Accounts Clerk:
1. Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
2. Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
3. Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
4. Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
5. Process business expense returns, petty cash/credit card
6. Cashbook
7. Payment allocations on to sage, with precision and recording retention deductions
8. Payroll journals
9. Other ad hoc duties
Person Specification – Accounts Clerk:
10. Bookkeeping experience
11. Previous experience in an Accounting role
12. Great interpersonal and communications skills
13. Good attention to detail
14. Good team working skills
15. The ability to work to monthly deadlines
16. An aptitude for IT – knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
17. Adaptable
