About the Team
We are looking for a Step Down Support Worker to be based in one of our Extra Care Services at Hawthorn Court on a part-time basis. This permanent role is for 28 hours per week and involves a rota system which will include working split shifts, morning and afternoon/evening. You will also be working every other weekend with some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid. The Hawthorn Court offers a vibrant community atmosphere in Keynsham, easily accessible via public transport or car.
Main duties of the job
As an Extra Care Support Worker, you will:
* Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
* Promote tenants independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
* Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants.
* Provide support to access third party and NHS services.
* Be a strong team player and work on your own initiative when needed.
* Promote lifestyle choices, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
About You
Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided. This opportunity is ideal for an individual aiming to develop their career and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and friendly workplace.
