Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Previous experience within a Healthcare environment.
2. Able to reassure patients in varying situations and encourage them to undertake their exercise programmes.
3. Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
4. Motivated and enthusiastic.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Good team player.
7. Good interpersonal skills.
8. Attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording of data.
9. Able to assess patient’s comfort, and adapt behaviour in line with this assessment.
10. Inpatient ward clinical experience advantageous.
11. Orthopaedic experience advantageous.
Duties of this role include:
12. To provide an excellent support service for qualified physiotherapy staff, enabling them to maximise their clinical skills, expertise and productivity whilst providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
13. To participate in pre-operative assessment as required.
14. To participate in clinical treatment under the supervision of a Physiotherapist or Senior Physiotherapist.
15. To book outpatient physiotherapy appointments, managing physiotherapy appointment system accurately and efficiently.
16. To handle general telephone enquiries and refer clinical issues to the relevant Physiotherapist.
17. To manage the patient database, ensuring that patient records and all relevant documentation are processed accurately.
18. Ensure the department maintains CHG Physiotherapy audit compliance.
