Job summary
Are you a Support Worker who is caring and dynamic and has experience as a Healthcare Assistant or a Care Assistant in a healthcare setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Outpatient Department at our Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
As a Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting consultants and the nursing team in delivering excellent patient care in our dedicated outpatient Medical Centre.
You will be working hours per week over 3 days between the hours of 8am - 8pm, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
1. Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions
2. Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight prior to clinic appointments.
3. Setting up equipment to use in the session/treatment
4. Supporting consultants and nurses with various procedures including ECG, Phlebotomy, Dressings and assisting with minor ops.
5. Chaperoning patients as required.

Person Specification:
Essential
19. Have a good standard of general education.
20. Hold a care certificate
21. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
22. Have experience working as a clinical support worker
Desirable
23. Hold an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care
24. Have experience working in an Outpatient’s Department
