OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Site Agent for our major client located in Immingham. This is a contract position for around 5 weeks with the view of extending. As a Senior Site Agent your responsibilities include managing tools, subcontractors, workmanship, and quality of work, ensuring accurate timesheets, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintaining high levels of customer service. The senior site agent is also responsible for providing health and safety leadership, ensuring work is safe for the environment and site staff, and targeting zero defects. Additionally, they need to hold relevant certifications, such as a CSCS card and a Lifting Operation certificate (SSSTS or STMS will be welcome). Regarding qualifications, a Senior Site Agent is expected to have experience managing teams involving third parties (Services Companies) works management, excellent communication, organizational, and management skills, and the ability to handle complex complaints and liaise with various stakeholders. It should also be current with the latest developments in street works (local relationships with electric, gas, It, etc. suppliers) and highway regulations, plan effectively and ensure optimal resource availability for highway regulation and provision. Senior Site Agents are crucial in ensuring compliance with regulations. A Senior Site Agent's role is multifaceted, involving leadership, coordination, and ensuring the successful execution of work projects while adhering to legal requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations. Responsibilities Overview and control the detailed design and define the project scope. This would allow the urgent setting up of vital procurement packages for the key subcontractors/suppliers. Design and Create a construction estimate based on a material take off (MTO) Create and manage a design and construction project budget Create a construction project management plan Negotiate with subcontractors/suppliers to obtain profitable construction contracts Develop a construction schedule with project deliverables and milestones Keep inventory of tools, equipment and machinery Manage resources such as materials, equipment, labour and staff Allocate and manage resources according to the Logistics Management Plan Develop during Stage 1 the Traffic Management Plan, the Stakeholder Management Plan and the Logistics Management Plan Comply and monitoring the Traffic Management Plan Comply with and monitoring the stakeholder's management plan Oversee the performance of the Construction manager, Design Manager and other members of the design and construction team Obtain consents, permits, licenses and meet the DCO and other regulations Maintain health and safety and well-being standards Skills & Qualifications Strong team management and leadership skills Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Project management skills such as time management, budget control, resource management and project scheduling. Education & Training Degree in civil engineering Strong knowledge of design and construction management best practices Fluency in software programs related to construction management, including project management software Current with rules and regulations related to design and construction (British Standards and Eurocode and English National Annex) Work Experience Five years of project management experience in the design and construction industry. Three years of design and construction management experience managing budgets and schedules Prior experience managing a construction site of approximately £150 million Experience leading a design and construction crew Proven risk management experience in design and construction projects Certifications Assessed But Not Required Project Management Certification (PMP) OSHA training for safety guidelines National Council of Examiners for Engineer and Surveying (NCEES) Green Business Certification (LEED) Aerial Lift Training Crane Operation Certification Construction Management Association of America—Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Best Construction Scheduling Software CSCS SSSTS or SMSTS First Aid
