Job description
Working as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, you will be providing community support and outreach services to individuals facing substance misuse.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Developing effective professional relationships with partners and stakeholders.
* Working effectively with prison teams and prescribers to ensure an offender’s smooth transition into the community.
* Delivering criminal justice interventions.
* Working flexibly to promote harm reduction.
* Accurately maintaining a client management system.
* Recognising personal and professional boundaries.
* Maintaining accurate, up to date records.
* Delivering programs and packages of group work and 1 to 1 work focusing on recovery.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Experience in working with and supporting vulnerable individuals.
* A thorough knowledge and understanding of Criminal Justice services and interventions.
* An excellent understanding of the issues substance misusers are facing.
* Full driving license or willingness to commute.
* Strong written and verbal communication.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
