Regional Sales Manager (Hire) - South EastReporting on an interim basis to the recently appointed Managing Director (Hire) and will move to reporting to Head of Sales - National once appointed. We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager (with Hire as a specialism) to focus on developing and driving a customer focused hire sales plan across all channels including Central Sales, Direct Hire, Managed Services, Branches and Digital at a regional level. Creating a consistent sales culture at a regional level this role champions a customer first approach with high levels of service and clear communication to support customers of all sizes. With an inherent desire to provide a great customer journey this is an exciting and rare opportunity to join the Travis Perkins team as a Regional Sales Manager.
The role:
Stakeholder management and driving engagement is key to integrating Hire into all sales conversations across the region's sales offices and branches within the region and to ensure that sales and profit targets are achieved. Principal accountabilities:
1. Ensure sales territories are organised to maximise the effectiveness of the sales team resource and to provide optimum coverage of the allocated sales region
2. Ensure sales region and team sales goals are achieved through the effective recruitment, training, development and motivation of sales professionals
3. Work in conjunction with the Regional Directors (RD’s), Head of Hire, Hire Operations Managers and Branch teams, in order to improve our “in branch” selling culture, and to support branch sales improvement plans across the sub regions
4. Support RD’s to coach branch teams to utilise sales tools such as Sales Hub to help exceed branch customer sales targets
5. Take a proactive lead in developing customer and regional specific action plans in conjunction with relevant team members and other appropriate colleagues
6. Review and report upon sales, margin and team / individual specific key performance data, providing appropriate feedback and acting upon areas requiring improvement
7. Developing and nurturing key supplier relationships
8. Actively call on sub-regional key customers, and take an active role with all major projects within their territory
The ideal candidate:
Bringing your skills in sales and remote team management you will have sector/industry experience.
It is important that you can demonstrate your sales success through your effective influence, negotiation and communication abilities. You will have strong business and commercial acumen coupled with experience leading high performing remote teams. Some of the skills you possess will include:
