About the Role:
As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Breeder Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance Team, based at our Brackley site.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00
What will you be doing as a Breeder Assistant Management Accountant at Avara?
Assist the Lead Breeder Accountant and provide financial control.
What will your key responsibilities be?
1. Working with the Breeder Area Managers and Central Finance team.
2. Maintain high level of financial governance, holding those on site accountable.
3. Responsible for the site's weekly and monthly reporting, including Profit & Loss, Bridge to Budget, commentary and KPIs.
4. Ensuring and maintaining strict financial controls throughout the site with compliance to accounting standards.
5. Provide Area Manager and Budget Holders with regular expenditure and analysis v Budget.
6. Monthly Balance Sheet recs, ensuring correct treatment of Accruals & Provisions and appropriately supported.
7. Assist with budgeting process as well as formal reforecasts as required.
8. Ad-hoc reporting as required.
9. Holiday Cover as required.
What you'll need to be successful:
1. ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with 3-5 years PQE, preferable gained within an FMCG environment. Not essential
2. Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of financial analysis, cost management and value creation.
3. Strong commercial awareness and experience in supporting a team.
4. Able to work effectively deliver objectives
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
6. Able to build strong and effective working relationships with all key functions in organisation.
7. Able to articulate issues with clarity and conviction.
