The Role;
You will be developing 2D drawings and creating complex 3D CAD models for specialist mechanical and mechatronic parts and components for the Automotive industry. These CAD designs will be vital in the creation of specialist metallic CNC machined parts and assemblies. You will be working with the wider design team to carry out and lead DFMEA & design validation activities. The overall goal is for you to develop the best design requirements ensuring the highest quality is met and at the lowest cost possible.
The Company;
You will be working for a well-established precision machining business with excellent, extensive processes in place to ensure the highest quality is met. The company are always looking to make improvements and have recently refurbished the offices and shopfloor. They have also invested in specialist CAD software for their design engineers to produce their best work! They are constantly growing their customer base with lots of new work coming through the business which will keep you on your toes and give you that variety from day to day.
The Position;
You will be designing specialist automotive components which are mainly CNC machined from metallic material. However, there could also be an element of mechantronic design due to the nature of their customer base. With the work they do being high precision, there are compliance standards that have to be met on every piece of work!
This position is a Monday to Friday day shift role, with an early finish on a Friday!
What we need from you;
Mechanical design background using 3D CAD software
Previous experience of designing parts for the automotive industry
Broad knowledge of mechanical, electromechanical and electrical systems
